I love the You Go Girl Adventures! I've been part of the crew since day 1 and have loved every minute of it. Joan has found a unique and fun way to bring like minded women together to build friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. The women are fun, welcoming, supportive, and always up for an adventure. It is so great being able to meet new people each month and experience the beauty of the PNW.

You Go, Girl started by Joan Dandeneau is an amazing group of ladies that is growing in numbers and quickly lifetime friendships are being made. Joan has and continues to promote community; always emphasizing everyone is welcome. The group photos Joan takes each activity says it all. It’s the absolute best – connecting with incredible ladies, trying new things and creating sister like bonds. So much fun!

I am grateful to have joined in the monthly activity group You Go Girl! which is organized by Joan. I have met new acquaintances and tried new and fun activities now that I am (mostly) retired from teaching. It is a warm and inclusive group of women and I love that the focus is on positivity and uplifting each other! Thanks for all that you do for the community Joan! 💞

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is You Go, Girl?
A monthly meet-up club for women 40-ish and beyond who want fun, low-stress outings that you don’t have to plan - just show up, enjoy and maybe even make a new friend.
Who can join?
Any woman in midlife (think 40-70) who’s craving new connections and looking for some fun and interesting activities to get on the calendar.
How often do you meet and for how long?
Once a month, usually on a Friday morning into early afternoon. Most gatherings run 2–3 hours, depending on the activity.
What kinds of activities should I expect?
Everything from outdoor hikes and paddle-boarding to fashion workshops, volunteer outings, and lunch/brunch. We keep the mix fresh—some active, some creative, some charitable, and some just-for-fun.
I’m introverted/nervous—will I fit in?
Absolutely. Almost everyone feels a little jittery when they try something new, but You Go, Girl is a judgment-free, wide-open-arms kind of crew. I build in easy ice-breakers so no one’s left on the edges, and the group is genuinely welcoming—most first-timers arrive solo and leave swapping phone numbers.
Do I have to attend every month?
Nope. Come when it works. Consistency helps friendships grow, but real life happens; there’s zero guilt for missing a month or several.
What does it cost to join?
There’s a single $100 annual membership fee that unlocks everything—access to the private community hub, priority sign-ups, and my behind-the-scenes coordination (nametags, website, planning hours, the whole shebang). Many gatherings are included (think hikes, snowshoe treks, potluck picnics, volunteer mornings). When an outing carries a third-party cost—like a pottery class, museum ticket, or guided tour—you’ll just pay that additional fee at registration. We keep those prices transparent and as affordable as possible. That way you only pay for the extras you choose, while the membership keeps the club running smoothly year-round.
Can I bring a guest who is a non-member?
Usually, yes—just check the event listing first.
Open-capacity outings (hikes, picnics, etc) welcome guests. Their first visit is free so they can test-drive the vibe; after that, it’s $30 per event unless they decide to become full members.
Limited-capacity events (studio classes, guided tours, workshops) are reserved for members first. If extra spots remain, you’ll see a “bring-a-guest” option at registration.
What if I’m joining mid-year—do I still pay the full $100?
No. If you sign up between June 1 and December 31, you can choose our Half-Year Membership for $80, which covers all remaining events and community access for the rest of that calendar year. Join anytime January 1 through May 31 and the regular $100 Annual Membership applies.
Heads-up: rates will increase in 2026. If you become (or renew as) a member by December 31, 2025, you’ll lock in the current price for next year.
How will I stay in the loop about upcoming events and last-minute details?
As soon as you become a member, you’re automatically added to our email list—that’s where new event announcements and sign-up links land first. When you register for a specific outing, you’ll get an instant email confirmation. Then, the week of the event, I open a short-term Facebook Messenger chat with all attendees for any weather tweaks, car-pool notes, or day-of hype (and to swap photos afterward). No screenshot-surfing required—you’ll always know exactly where to be and what to bring.
What online resources and communities do members receive?
Private Facebook Group: the year-round hub for conversation, encouragement, and spontaneous “anyone free for coffee?” posts.
Members-only Website Area: includes our event calendar plus a searchable member directory so you can reach out and make plans with new friends.
Google Photo Album: a living scrapbook of every hike, brunch, and belly laugh—perfect for reliving memories or sharing with friends who are curious about joining.

Ok, I’m in…

Hi, I’m Joan—
your built-in connector and chief memory-maker 💫
I’m a fitness and nutrition coach who believes health isn’t just about reps and recipes—it’s also about relationships.
Community has always been my north star, but the pandemic showed me just how fragile our friend circles can feel. When the world reopened, I saw too many incredible women wondering, “Where did my people go?”—so I planned a solution and called it You Go, Girl.
I’m a planner by nature, and a born connector who gets genuine joy from gathering women and watching friendships spark. Small talk isn’t my style; I dive straight into the good stuff—life, love, dreams, struggles—because that’s where real bonds form.
Each month I curate an easy-to-say-yes-to outing (think snowshoe adventures, fashion styling classes, or a picnic at a winery) so you can simply show up, be yourself, and leave with new memories—and new friends—to carry forward.
I know firsthand that community fuels confidence, so If you’re craving fun, real conversation, and the kind of sisterhood that turns “once a month” into lifelong connection, grab your spot on our next adventure.
You go, girl—let’s gather!
