Mari Stevens
Mental Health Therapist
Mari Stevens is a seasoned counselor and mental-health therapist with 30 years in education, counseling, and clinical practice. After decades in public roles she launched a thriving private practice—proof of the resilience and adaptability she now teaches mid-lifers seeking fresh purpose and direction.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mari’s personal journey has shaped her empathetic and supportive approach. She has launched two sons, now 19 and 21 years old, into adulthood, all while balancing the responsibilities of caring for aging parents and redefining what marriage looks like in this stage of life. These experiences allow Mari to deeply connect with her clients, bringing both wisdom and understanding to her coaching.
Through her expertise, lived experiences, and unwavering passion, Mari is an inspiring mentor for people ready to embrace their potential and thrive during life’s transformative moments.
Joan Dandeneau
Midlife Fitness & Nutrition Coach
Joan Dandeneau is a certified fitness and nutrition coach with nearly 30 years of experience helping women build strength, confidence, and sustainable wellness habits. She holds a degree in Exercise Science from Auburn University and is certified through Precision Nutrition, the American College of Sports Medicine, and AFAA/NASM.
Joan is passionate about supporting women in midlife—because she’s living it too. As a mom to three daughters (ages 16, 18, and 20), she’s currently navigating the emotional transitions of empty nest life, shifting hormones, and aging parents. She brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to everything she teaches.
Through her virtual and in-person fitness classes, cooking workshops, and coaching programs, Joan empowers women to take charge of their health with practical tools, real-life strategies, and a whole lot of encouragement.

Where is Beaver Lake Lodge located?
Beaver Lake Lodge address: 25101 SE 24th St, Sammamish, WA 98075. There is plenty of parking on site. Please enter the lodge through the double doors in the front of the building (facing toward the lake).
Will dinner be served?
You will have the option to order dinner - more details to come. We will have light refreshments like tea, water, and small snacks available.What should I wear?
Come as you are! We suggest casual, comfortable clothing — something you feel good in and can relax in. No workout gear needed, but no need to dress up either. Think cozy and confident.Is this a fitness class? Will we be working out?
Nope — this is not a workout! This is an evening of connection, education, and inspiration focused on your mental and physical health. We’ll be chatting, not sweating.Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Many women come solo, and this is a very welcoming, friendly environment. You’ll leave feeling more connected — promise.Can I bring a friend?
Yes! Just be sure to grab her a ticket too — we’re capping the event at 50 women to keep things intimate and meaningful.Will alcohol be served?
