Having the opportunity to meet in person with others I do virtual classes with is very motivating. While I love the online flexibility, the in person bootcamps provide me with even more determination to keep up the workouts.

When the local gym I used to train at shut down, to say that I was devastated would not have been an understatement. So when she started offering Saturday boot camp classes, although I had already joined another gym, I just had to sign up! Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the class held?

We have two locations - one indoors and one outdoors. From October to April, we meet at Novalife Fitness on Newport Way in Issaquah. This convenient and comfortable indoor location is temperature-controlled with bathrooms available on-site. When the weather gets nice, usually May- September, we’ll take the workout outdoors - usually in Issaquah Highlands. For exact location address and other details, LEARN MORE

What do I need to bring?

Just a water bottle! I provide all the equipment, so you can show up and focus on your workout.

What should I wear?

For our indoor location, please wear indoor shoes (or go barefoot if you prefer) and dress in layers. The space is temperature-controlled, but layering helps you stay comfortable as you warm up.

For our outdoor location, please dress in layers and wear sunscreen. Sunglasses and a hat are recommended for sunnier days.

Is this class suitable for all fitness levels?

Yes! Every workout is designed to be adaptable. You’ll work at your own level, and all exercises have modifications to accommodate any limitations or injuries.

When do classes meet?

Bootcamp meets typically twice a month on Saturday mornings from 8-9 AM. Check the CALENDAR for specific dates and to RSVP.

How much does it cost?

Classes are $25 each. Fit Zone members get 50% off bootcamp classes! If you’re not a Fit Zone member yet, reach out to learn more about joining.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Joan's bootcamps are an amazing way to start the weekend!  As a busy mom with kids with lots of sports the weekend, the morning is MY time to get my workout in, so I love how the bootcamps are first thing in the morning.  Some things I love about them:  it's an individual workout in a group setting so there is tons of motivation and support; the time flies with all the variety and moving from station to station; the music is upbeat; and Joan makes me feel like I'm a star, even when I'm trying something new.  Please come, you won't regret it!

I’m Joan, a fitness and nutrition coach specializing in helping women over 40 build strength, boost confidence, and stay consistent with their health. I know how hard it can be to stay motivated on your own, which is why I created these in-person bootcamp classes—so you don’t have to do it alone.

In this small-group setting, you’ll get a fun, effective workout that’s fully planned for you—no thinking, no overcomplicating, just showing up and moving your body.
